I can remember when my father came home from work one night and showed us the bullet-holes in his car from where the niggers were shooting at him during the Plainfield New Jersey racial riots of the summer of 1968.

I was 12 years old in 1967 and right in the middle of that shit Brutus.

I remember seeing the fires over there from my side of the river. Me & some friends went to the top of that parking garage [on Park St. W, I think?] in downtown Windsor, you could see it all pretty good. I remember my uncle, who worked out in Warren, he couldn't go to work for, I think, 3 or 4 days, the border was closed. I think, that was the only time that ever happened.

That neighbourhood, featured in the article, that's not too far from downtown. I can just imagine what it's like now.

It all started down on 12th Street in niggertown Detroit. Kikes had quite a few stores down on 12th Street back then...notice how I said "had."

BTW...I lived near 7 Mile Rd. & Livernois at the time. We had just "moved on up" to the Northwest side from the East side. (Warren & Mt. Elliot...right across from the old Packard plant) Yes, they actually used to make cars in Detroit!
